This well was created in 48 in the Qing dynasty during emporer Kang Shi, before people from the Chang continent moved in, it is the most important well in Shi Lin since it is responsible for drinking and farming, and it was categorized as an ancient relic in 2009 A.D. by the Cultural Department.

the tianmu trail is built during the japanese era to pump water to the government faccilities and today it is still a popular trail to hike the 2.6 km trail runs from tianmu police station to the chinese cultural university in yangminshan national park
